Senior Thesis: the yearlong degree project
Film synopsis: Blob + Tail = Goldfish

This is my Senior Degree Project (Thesis) done at the Rhode Island School of Design.

“Wall Pets” is 2-D hand drawn animation, that was “colored” through Photoshop. In order to digitally emulate the watercolor look, I colored one frame with much more care, and then simply copy-pasted,
rotated, and re-sized.

Wanting the sound design to be simple, I did the sound design using the Sound Effects CD from the school library.

So far, “Wall Pets” was accepted to the following competitions and festivals for the year of 2009: Accolade Competition; Animazing! Spotlights; Animation Block Party (ABP); Bulldog Student Film Festival (”Judges Award”); Chinh India Kids Film Festival.

And for 2010: Boston Underground Film Festival (BUFF)

Flood
This was my Junior Thesis for the fall semester.

I like two things: The sound design & the illustration of the rain with the acetate sheets.

It was an animation based on a Haiku. The animation process involved paper puppets, AND acetate sheets that were punctured with a sewing machine– in order to simulate rain.

Catipi
For both my Junior Project at RISD and my digital 3-D imagery class, I chose the same subject matter: a caterpillar. Through creating a creature in two different ways of 3-D, my goal was to gain mutual understanding for both the traditional and digital aspects of 3-D.

This section represents my accumulated collection of sketches. Most of them I had never intended to be complete on its own.
Therefore, it made sense to randomly collect them and represent them in this Collage/ Scrapbook format– while it still looks
like it could be a page from my sketchbook.
After all, I barely make anything complete when I am brainstorming…

Born in a small hospital in Arlington, VA, this spontaneous, sparkling personality was abruptly whisked away to Seoul, Korea. There, Eunice became enchanted with Art. She experienced much mud and glitter upon her return to the US to attend Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), and her affair has been extended into something more than a mere affair. Eunice dreams to pursue her art and animation career in the US.
